Academic knowledge alone is of no great value. It may help one to earn a livelihood. But, education should go beyond the preparation for earning a living. This site offers an introduction into the outstanding character development program of Education in Human Values established by Sathya Sai Baba, the great contemporary world educator. The Program rests on the five universal human values of Truth, Right Action, Peace, Love and Nonviolence. Sathya Sai Baba teaches that these human values are innate in every human being, and that true education "elicits," or brings out that which is within the individual. It is through the development of these universal values that mankind can reach its full human potential.
